Sometimes a standard length shackle will not accommodate your choice of attachments but with a long shackle this problem is resolved.

These long D shackles are great for use as a connection point, however, as they are not load tested they shouldn't be used for lifting and load bearing applications. If you need a longer shackle that can be used for lifting then check out the long D piling shackles which are made from high tensile alloy steel.
