This stainless wire rope is
slightly more unusual in its construction, and
relate to the number of bundles/strands and wires. So this equipment
has 6 bundles/strands of 36 wires.However, it differs in that it contains an inner core around which these 6 strands are woven, usually in an equal lay construction. This inner core is typically made from either fibre or wire rope itself. If so, you will find that this inner core also contains a similar numbered construction, such as 7×7, meaning 7 bundles of 7 strands. A rope construction that has a fibre rope core will have FC after the numbers, whilst an independent wire rope core will show IWRC. Both types are available from RopeServices Direct.
This stainless steel construction is incredibly flexible, as well as enjoying a good fatigue life too. Like most of our strong rope products, it has heavy usage within the marine industry, but you will also find that it is used in the sewage industry. This equipment has a good level of resistance to saltwater, hence its ability to operate safely in these industries.
