Vital statistics of 11mm 6x12 Galvanized Wire Rope
The load limit mentioned in the
introduction applies to the 1960 rated version of this wire
rope. It is offered in a slightly less sturdy 1770 steel iteration that drops the WLL to 4,563kg.
Both examples offer the same corrosion resistance that comes as a result of the galvanization process. Whether rain water beads on
its surface or sea spray drenches it, this rope should stay rust-free.
Fibre cores for each bundle of wires give its 6x12 configuration the aforementioned ability to flex without
suffering fatigue damage. It works well as a towrope, as a means of securing bundles of wood and in other
contexts where its lack of lifting strength is irrelevant.
