With its tough weave of wires and a steel cores, this 19mm 6x36 compacted wire rope improves strength and reduces fatigue, whilst keeping the diameter to a minimum. Although these compacted ropes look nicer than ordinary galvanized wire rope they still do not look as sleek as our stainless steel wire rope range.
There are a few things to note about this type of wire rope. Firstly it is rated to work safely with loads of up to 32 tonnes, or just over 26 tonnes for the lower rated examples. Secondly it should last much longer thanks to its compacted nature.
The 6x36 configuration of wire bundles, along with their compaction, delivers this excellent sturdiness and durability. With a flatter outer surface, the rope should also be less abrasive if it needs to be wound and unwound as part of a hoisting setup or around sheaves and pulleys, lessening wear and tear. Crush resistance and bend fatigue are also key factors to consider when choosing your ideal rope.
