If you need a small dee shackle for long term use in one location then the British standard small dee shackle safety bolt type will suit your needs. The safety bolt is held securely in place with the use of a cotter type pin, this is a little more fiddly than using a standard screw pin small dee shackle but much safer.
Produced to British standard BS3032 and available in 2 finishes either hot dipped galvanized or self coloured. The size range is excellent starting off at 0.3 t WLL and rising to 19t WLL. As the working load limit goes up, so do the dimensions of the shackle, the specification chart below will provide all the necessary details.
As dee shackles can only be used for in-line applications a bow type shackle may be more appropriate if you need to use it at an angle and pull on its sides.
