Here at Rope Services Direct we manufacture, stock and supply a wide range of wire ropes suitable for many different applications. Within each category you will often find subcategories for our various ranges. This page is for our 7x19 stainless steel cable construction, a subcategory of our popular stainless steel rope products.
Equipment of this type that contains the
numbers 7x19 is rope that has been constructed from 7 strands, each
with 19 wires, to make up the
final product. This effectively means that it has 133 wire strands in total.
This is one of the most flexible types of rope product that we stock, enjoying more flexibility than our other 1x19 and 7x7 popular constructions. However, it is important to note that with a greater level of flexibility comes a weaker level of the breaking load. It is still more than capable of performing the functions that it is designed for, but the 1x19 and 7x7 constructions have been designed for greater levels of breaking loads.
It is a popular product for usage as rope control cables, and is also widely used in engineering applications such as for rope slings. As with most of our rope products, it also enjoys a great deal of use within the marine industry. It is made from strong and long-lasting stainless steel.
