Available in several grades, the flagship example of this particular 26mm wire rope can cope with loads of slightly more than 60 tonnes before its rated limits are exceeded. The compaction also helps boost its breaking force resilience, which sits at 591kN in the highest quality example.
The external configuration of six bundles of 36 separate wires is not all that this rope has to offer; it also has a separate steel core. Since everything is compacted together during the manufacturing process and inner voids removed, the likelihood of breakages occurring is lowered and the flatter exterior provides a smoother handling experience as well as smoother sliding over sheaves.
