Performance stats of 22mm 1x19 Galvanized Wire Rope
Although a rope with a diameter of just
over two centimetres should not necessarily seem like it can shoulder hefty weights, the 1x19 construction of
this particular example works in its favour in this respect. Capacities of between 40 and 50 tonnes are
available, with the grade of the steel used influencing its WLL.
Wire rope like this which has been galvanized is designed to
avoid the negative effects that come with frequent exposure to moisture. Rain, sea spray and liquid spills of
any kind will fail to furnish the surface with any rust. From a cost-effectiveness perspective, as well as in
terms of maintenance, this is a clear benefit.

The rigidity of our 1x19 rope may make it a little less appealing to certain buyers, but there are plenty of
similarly resilient siblings to take into account. 6x7 fibre core galvanized rope is more flexible, as well as being lighter. 7x19 wire core rope has comparable properties, yet is harder to crush due to its metal centre. We also supply
a 1x19mm wire rope in stainless
steel in your choice of assembly should you need the added advantage of its stainless properties.
